Help Please

Hi,
I have a new computer but am unable to log on to this site with it.
I enter my user name and password and get the "Thank you for logging on..." message but when it goes back to Forums my name does not appear in the "Welcome" box.
I have entered this on my old computer.
Can anyone help, please?
