I wasn't sure if AE Services were still in operation. I have a lovely thick strap I bought from them, called a Persuader. I don't self-spank (although I used to as a teenager) but I'm sure it would be perfect for the job. I also have a long-handled clothes-bruch that my Dad used on me that was my favourite implement when I did used to self-spank.

I've self-spanked too - but I tend to chicken out if it gets a bit much. If someone else is doing it, even if it's really painful, I won't cry out the safe word as I regret it immediately afterwards! There's a wooden spatula in my kitchen drawer that's particuarly effective. You can get a good leverage. It's rather embaressing admitting to doing this, especially when you're female!
